Penwith and Isles of Scilly District Scouts

Trencrom District Campsite.

Trencrom is a fairly small campsite suitable for approximately 3 to 4 Patrol tents or about 10 hike tents.  It has a permanent building with male/female/disabled toilets, a fully fitted kitchen with large 6 ring gas cooker/oven and tables and seating for 24 people.  It has cold running water and a gas "Burco" type boiler for hot water.  The building is not suitable for accommodation, but can be used as an emergency shelter if needed.  There is 12v solar electric on site including lighting and means to charge a phone or laptop etc.

When booking the site, you will have access to a large amount of pioneering poles which you are free to make use of. (Please provide your own lashing ropes as there are only a small amount provided)

We are situated in a secluded spot in the middle of the countryside, a perfect base for hiking, etc.

When camping, you are free to cook on either open fires or gas.  There are some oil drum type alter fires and there is a small wood pile for your use if you choose that option.     Camp fires are also permitted in the pre-made campfire circle.
